Hardy Hikers 2026 Schedule

 

The Hardy Hikers along with Ecology Outfitters is dedicated to promoting outdoor activities and foster a community of hiking enthusiasts. The 2026 schedule is being meticulously planned to provide participants with a variety of hiking experiences across diverse terrains and ecosystems in Sheboygan & Manitowoc County. The schedule is designed to accommodate hikers of all skill levels, ensuring the everyone can enjoy the beauty of nature while engaging in physical activity.

  Throughout the year, Ecology Outfitters will host a series of events that include weekday hikes, and weekend excursions,  Each event is carefully curated to highlight the unique features of the selected hiking locations, with an emphasis on safety, environmental stewardship, and community engagement.

The following is a brief overview of the planned events for 2026:

January - April

Winter Hiking Series (Snowshoeing)

During the winter months, Hardy Hikers will offer Snowshoeing of guided hikes focusing on Sheboygan & Manitowoc County. 

May - June:

Spring Awakening Hikes

As the weather warms, the focus will shift to spring hikes that celebrate the blooming flora and fauna. These hikes will include educational components about local ecosystems and the importance of biodiversity. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in conservation efforts, such as trail maintenance and litter clean-up.

July - September:

Summer Adventure Series

The summer months will feature a range of hiking adventures, including challenging mountain hikes and family-friendly nature walks. Special events will be organized to promote awareness of sustainable hiking practices, including Leave No Trace principles. Participants will also have the chance to explore local wildlife and learn about their habitats.

October - December:

Autumn Exploration

In the fall, Hardy Hikers will host hikes that showcase the stunning autumn foliage. These hikes will include opportunities for photography and reflection on the changing seasons. Additionally, workshops on preparing for winter hiking will be offered, ensuring that participants are well-equipped for the colder months ahead.
